Just wanted to do a quick thank you to my hosting provider, Media Temple. Last night, after a bizarre set of circumstances turned the email on one of my sites off, their customer service reps worked with me for about three or four hours (ending at about 6:45 AM, Eastern) diagnosing the problem.

After all that time of back and forth Skitch-ing, error copy/pasting, and diagnosing bizarre error messages (what the fuck is a spool error?), a very helpful Tech by the name of Lloyd realized that something had turned off my sites ability to send and receive email.

I have a natural hatred of customer service and tech support after years of being burnt by giants like Verizon, Comcast, Dell, Microsoft (specifically for Xbox), and Sony. There’s something about being asked “are you sure you’re connected to the internet?” five times in one phone call that sets me off. This was not the case with MT. Media Temple was nice enough to sit through my impatience and anxiety, and was polite down to the very last second.

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone at Media Temple (especially Lloyd!) for doing such an awesome job. You’ve got a customer for life.*

(Or as long as the internet exists. Whichever comes first.)
